The Dangers of Excitotoxins: Antibiotics (excerpt of an upcoming article)

I know everyone thinks antibiotics are one of the greatest medical advances in modern day science but they should practically never be taken. They should only be used as a last resort such as a life or death situation. Even the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention claim that "between 20-50% of all antibiotics prescribed for human use each year are unnecessary." Some experts argue that over 90% of all antibiotics prescribed are unnecessary. Bottom line, antibiotics are overused and almost always unnecessary.

One thing most people don't know or consider is that antibiotics only kill bacteria. They don't kill viruses. Most of the time antibiotics are being prescribed it's not even a bacterial issue, it's viral or something else. That means the antibiotics are ineffective and therefore unnecessary. But it is a product and it still needs to be sold. There are marketing teams of people who feed their family by convincing doctors to prescribe their antibiotics. This is a business and when there is business there is inevitably greed to some extent...
